We just received notification that we INK AND GOLD: AN ARTIST'S JOURNEY TO OLYMPIC GLORY has been chosen by the Selection FICTS Commission to participate in the “Nagano International FICTS Festival” that will be held in Nagano (Japan) from September 7 - 9. It is one of the of the World FiCTS challenge.
We were incredibly humbled to meet Dr Ryuichiro Tsuchiya, the President of the Japanese Organizing Committee, when he attended our screening at the 40th Milano International FICTS Fest last fall which is the worldwide final for the World FICTS Challenge - an international film competition for movies and television productions that promotes sport culture and Olympic values all around the world.
We still pinch ourselves, as we submitted for the 2023 final in Milan and somehow managed to win our category of "Olympic Storytellers." Because of such, we have been invited to participate in several of the 2024 World FICTS Challenge festivals, including the BCN Sports Film 2024 – Barcelona International FICTS Festival in Spain, the Beausoleil Côte d'Azur International FICTS Festival du Cinéma Sportif in France, the SPORTfilm Liberec in the Czech Republic, and now the Nagano International FICTS Festival in Japan.
We are incredibly grateful to the entire FICTS organization for supporting and elevating our project with international platforms.
