About

Through my artwork, I've had the privilege of leading various workshops and seminars and have been invited as a guest speaker and lecturer at several institutions, schools and universities.

Mission

I’ve conducted numerous workshops with children, including those with autism, focusing on the connection between sport and art. These workshops aim to show kids that sport and art are deeply linked, both rooted in creativity, spontaneity, and play.

It was an incredible honor to speak with students at Nagano English School, where they translated my Oscar-qualified film, Ink and Gold – An Artist’s Journey to Olympic Glory, into Japanese. Having studied my work in-depth, the students gave insightful presentations and engaged in a thoughtful Q&A during our Zoom session. As part of the Nagano International Film Festival, where only twenty films from around the world were showcased, Ink and Gold received a special mention at the 2024 FICTS Nagano International Sports Film Festival, part of the globally FICTS Challenge, recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

Sharing this recognition alongside works like Addicted to Life by Emmy-nominated director Pola Rapaport and Oscar-winning documentary The Queen of Basketball by Ben Proudfoot was truly humbling. The festival’s dedication to inspiring local children through global sports culture and fostering their language and communication skills is both remarkable and inspiring.

I was  honored to be selected as a judge for the prestigious Gangwon 2024 Youth Olympic Games Medal Design Competition. In this role, I had the responsibility of reviewing all design submissions, collaborating with the International Olympic Committee to select the winning medal, and engaging with contestants from around the world to provide feedback on their creative concepts. The competition, which attracted global coverage, spotlighted the future of Olympic design and creativity, bringing together outstanding talent on an international stage. I was a guest judge  alongside selected IOC youth reporters, Gangwon 2024 youth representatives, an IOC young leader and an Olympian on the Olympian artist programme.
I was honored to speak to the entire cohort of first-year students at Massey University’s prestigious College of Creative Arts, Wellington, New Zealand. This included aspiring artists from the New Zealand National Academy of Screen Arts, the School of Art, the School of Music, and the Wellington School of Design. I shared insights from my journey designing medals for the Olympics and offered guidance to these future creatives as they embark on their university studies
